SOL Tackle soltackle.com

I started SOL Tackle because I love making fishing tackle.  It started with fly fishing flies expanding to hair jigs and lures.  The process of making a bait is great fun and is limitless- there are no rules.  Expect it needs to catch fish and stand up to the abuse fish put it through.  I really like making tackle for conventional and fly.  It keeps me fresh and excited.  I tend to get bored after tying the same pattern dozens and dozens of times.  It also allows me to bring different ideas and techniques into new areas of tackle making.  It is a great job and I really appreciate all the support.  Good luck on the water.

Bay de Noc Lure Co. swedishpimple.com

Bay de Noc Lure Company started in 1955 in the “Walleye Capital of the World”. Little Bay de Noc, Gladstone, Michigan became the home of a lure that took the fishing world by storm, “The Swedish Pimple”. Starting as a group of friends, the Nybergs and Apelgrens made lures to supply themselves by using popular designs from Sweden before finally receiving a registered trademark for their own design in 1957. The lure became an instant hit throughout the midwest and beyond. What started out as a hobby among friends has turned into a full-fledged American made Icon! “The Swedish Pimple”

I started the company August 2022 in Rapid River. I’ve been making spinners for personal use and decided to share them with friends. I had good success at farmers markets and decided to expand into local bait shops and hardware/general stores. My lures are currently sold in 11 locations in the UP and 1 below the bridge. My success comes from creative designs combined with a tried and true build process with the best components available.
